Cons

Bottom Line

Although the IPS display is crisp, it may not be bright enough for some, but most will agree that Lenovo Yoga 720 81C3005PUS has an attractive price tag for the strong performance it’s able to deliver.

The 2018 Lenovo Yoga 720 81C3005PUS 13.3-inch 2-in-1 laptop has received positive reviews for its  1920 x 1080 IPS display that is said to be crisp and its color reproduction is said to be good overall. It has up-to-date components, including the Intel i7-8550U CPU and a large high-speed 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD that has plenty of space for file and media storage. It comes with USB Type-C and ThunderBolt and 16GB of RAM, which is perfect for power users. It has a sleek, portable and lightweight design and it is versatile thanks to its tablet function. While the display has received mostly positive reviews, some noted that it could be slightly brighter. Furthermore, some review sites noted that the display does have some PWN flickering, meaning it could induce headaches. Lastly, some were disappointed that it did not have an SD card slot, so you won’t be able to insert an SD card. The Lenovo Yoga 720 81C3005PUS 13.3-inch is inexpensive, versatile and offers a strong overall performance, however, the dim display and the lack of an SD card slot may be disappoint some.

The Lenovo Yoga 720 may look like a mainstream laptop, but underneath its mild-mannered exterior is a secret power: discrete Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics. It’s not a super-power—you can find gaming laptops with more powerful GPUs. Stuffing a discrete GPU into a laptop creates some compromises, too, especially in weight and thermals. Still, the Yoga 720 gives you some gaming chops for a reasonable price. Considering it’s also a 360-degree convertible, you’re getting a lot of versatility for the money.
