The HP Chromebook 11G4 EE 11.6-inch laptop has received positive reviews for its value, its solid construction, its decent performance for the basics and multitasking thanks to the 4GB of RAM. Users thought its keyboard quality is decent and many liked its overall usability and portability. However, many thought that the screen quality is average, stating that it looks washed out and the viewing angles are narrow, and it cannot handle demanding applications very well. All in all, for light usage, the HP ChromeBook 11 G4 EE offers a really good balance of price, portability and online performance.
The HP Chromebook 11G4 EE 11.6-inch laptop comes at an appealing price, and is a good at getting the basics right, such as basic word processing, general browsing and video streaming. The dual core Intel Celeron N2840 Processor will lag if you intend on doing more demanding tasks, but at least the 4GB of RAM allows for some reasonable multitasking. The 16GB eMMC SSD drive is fast, so application and boot times will be fast, but 16GB is a rather small amount of storage, even for Chrome OS.. The build quality is solid and it is well suited to school kids or college students constantly on the move thanks to its sturdy construction. It has a chiclet style keyboard that is said to be decent in terms of comfort and the 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 screen is anti-glare, but the image quality is average, with some noting that it can become washed out and that the viewing angles are rather narrow. The battery life is said to be 11 hours by the manufacturer, but others have noted that it could be closer to 7 hours if you are using the Chromebook 11G4 EE quite intensively. So you will need to lug around your AC adapter if you plan on doing a full day’s work. Weighing in at 2.50 pounds pounds, the Chromebook 11G4 EE is light enough to easily slip into backpacks and carry around with you.

Critic Reviews
- PCWorld May 6, 2016
HP’s Chromebook 11 G4 has a dull-gray shell that screams, “bulk education purchase” more than “buy me.” Precisely because this school-oriented model can bang around in backpacks, however, it could teach its consumer Chromebook cousins a thing or two about build quality.
