The Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar MLW82LL/A is a bestselling MacBook Pro that has been praised for its larger display, Touch Bar with integrated Apple Touch ID, large solid state drive, thin and light design and for its crisp Retina display. However, Apple have removed the standard ports and have instead gone with four Thunderbolt 3 (USB 3.1 Type-C) ports that will require additional adapters. They have even removed the MagSafe magnetic charging port which was loved by Apple fans across the globe. While the new thin and light design offers great battery life and a large SSD, it does have a hefty price tag compared to some of the better equipped Windows counterparts on the market.
Pros
- Touch Bar with Touch ID
- Powerful CPU
- Dedicated AMD graphics
- Large SSD
- Brilliant Retina display
- Great battery life
Cons
- No standard ports
- No MagSafe port
- Non-upgradable RAM
- Price
- No SD card slot
Bottom Line
The Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar MLW82LL/A is a powerful MacBook Pro for the power user, however with a hefty price tag and no legacy ports it might not be the MacBook that we hoped for as everyday users.

With a slim bezel around its 15-inch screen and a thinner, lighter body, the top-end MacBook Pro packs a real visual punch. But if you miss the traditional HDMI and USB ports, consider the older 2015 model that Apple still sells.

Apple slims down the MacBook Pro 15 quite radically and reduces the weight to around 1.8 kg with a thickness of just 16 millimeters. The professional notebook, which even gained customers from the 17-inch Pro in the past, is now even a real alternative for users of the previous MBP 13.
